Garden's looking good

Today has been a day in the garden, tidying up and cutting grass.
The top lawn is looking good and the re-structured flower beds are starting to bloom.
At the side lawn, the grass that has been used to replace the pebbles around the greenhouse is doing well.  It has taken its second mowing this year and is starting to look like part of the old lawn now.
We have had several rhubarb crumbles and used the parsley for cooking.  The broad beans are in and the potatoes are starting to show above the surface of the soil.  The lattice of boards is there to keep the local cats off of the potatoes - they will use any open soil as a latreen.
The 3 leylandii that we had removed are completely gone now.  The ground is levelled and the wild garlic has been moved to a small embankment at the base of the holly hedge.  The ropes are still in place to pull back the hedge.  This will probably be fully sorted by September.  The ground will be partly covered by an extension of the lawn and partly by a flower patch for cut flowers.  I have a potted birch tree to go in  for a dappled shade effect.  This has been grown from seed over the last 3 years.
