The Magnificent Snowdrop

Our native snowdrop is a small early blooming plant which marks the end of Winter and the approach of Spring. Last Weekend, Rosie and I visited Hodsock which is to the North of Worksop in North Nottinghamshire. At this time of year the gardens are open to the public to see the snowdrops which are found throughout the forest and woodland.
The gardens themselves (see Rosies Blog) have lots of different cultivars of this native plant. I have just assembled a sample image of some of their flowers below.
I love snowdrops.
