Moulton Windmill

 Moulton Windmill is the tallest windmill in the UK.  The mill is situated in the village of Moulton off the A17 to the East of Spalding, Lincolnshire.  It is undergoing a complete re-fit and restoration and a landmark event this last week was the installation of the new sails.
 There were originally 4 millstones, but only 2 are now in situ on the milling floor.  One has been moved downstairs and is able to operate electrically to mill small quantities of flour.  The plan is that, in the Spring of 2012, the millstones will turn using wind power once again.
 As you progress down the mill, the floors get wider and wider.  I cannot remember seeing a windmill with so much space inside.  There is even an enclosed glass walled office within the mill tower.
The mill has a tea room and offers guided tours by knowledgeable local volunteers.  I can genuinely recommend a visit, check their website to see what is on offer at;
