Winter weather has arrived

Recent weeks have been unseasonable warm and very welcome.  Last night, the weather changed and there was a marked drop in temperature.  Winter has arrived.

10:30pm and snow is falling on the garden  This is a picture from a bedroom window with only the light from the kitchen illuminating the patio area.

The street lights out front give a different type of illumination to this second image.

With some flash, the picture is again quite different.  Time to close the windows and go to bed.
