Whilst walking around Westport Lake, we saw a Grebe with a fish. The fish must have been heavier than the bird, but at this time of year, it was going to be the feast of the day. The Grebe made several attempts to swallow the fish, and on a few occasions, dropped it and recaptured it. Gulls were interested at this point and were flying around near to the Grebe.
Finally, the small bird got purchase of the fish and made a meal of it. You could have gone home and made a cup of tea in the time it took to swallow that fish.
