Changes

Yesterday we finished clearing our sitting room and preparing it for a ceiling replacement.  The ceiling has been Artexed and had a small bulge near one window since we moved in many years ago. We had the Artex tested and it contains an asbestos compound, so removal and disposal is quite costly due to potential health hazards.

Today we are anticipating the removal and disposal of the ceiling, then we shall have a new one installed.

The job will take a few days and we are currently living with the contents of the room distributed around the rest of the house.  Oh Joy!

On the bright side, We have seen the first ever Red Legged Partridge in our garden.  It was checking out the bird feeder and patrolling the edge of our meadow area.  We are seeing the odd unusual visitor to our garden more frequently in recent times.
