Merry Christmas 2011

Yesterday we went for a walk around the lakes at Trentham. I would love to post some pictures, but when we got out there I realised my camera battery was flat! Oh-hum....
In the afternoon we pre-baked our Christmas dinner as we do most years.  This year we made chestnut roast en-croute, chestnut sausage rolls and gingerbread men.  We cooked a mixture of asparagus ravioli and pumpkin ravioli in a pesto sauce for dinner and finished off the left over red wine from the cooking.

Today we just need to relax and cook a few vegetables and sauce for the festive meal.  The cats are well fed, the squirrels and birds have had their Christmas breakfast, we have been fed and now the pressure is on to relax a bit more.  Enjoy!

My only regret is that as I am working over the winter season, and have not booked any leave before the holiday, we have not had time to see many friends or family.  No doubt that can be redressed over the holiday period.

Wishing you all a happy Christmas and a joyous new year.
