Covid-19 Jab

Yesterday was the day I took Rosie for her vaccination.  We went to a timed slot at a temporary clinic in a church hall to the North of the City.  The weather was cold, the roads were clear and the whole process was 40 minuted from home and back.  She came back with a small card and an appointment slot for her second injection.

In the afternoon, I received a phone call from my doctors to book an appointment for today.  Again, this was a timed slot at a temporary clinic in a church hall to the South of the City.  So now I have a small card to say that I have been vaccinated and my doctors will send me an appointment time for my second injection at a later date.

The weather was well below freezing and has since warmed up to just above zero.

As I left the clinic I was given an instruction card that said - read this carefully before having your injection - Good job I am a biologist and I know the procedure.  The staff at the clinic were very professional and very well practised.  They must have been turning around 10 patients every 10 minutes judging by the foot fall in the car park.

OK - taking it easy for the rest of the day and following the lock-down rules strictly, even though I have now been vaccinated, I can still be a carrier, but am unlikely to suffer symptoms now.

Stay Safe.
