Protecting my veg

Yesterday, I planted out a veg bed and put netting around it.  That is essential for protecting cabbages and sprouts, fennel and courgettes from the attention of the local badgers.  It also stops the local cats using the veg plot as a loo.

This morning I woke up to find the badgers had dug up some of my potatoes.  I may have lost two plants.

A dash around the bed and there is now a Heath Robinson style frame and netting around my spuds, made up from some old bits that were destined for the skip!  Hope that will protect the crop.
