Trentham Lake and Gardens

The rain has stopped and the sun is shining - time for an  early morning walk in the gardens.

Looking out across Trentham Lake into the Sun is a dazzling experience.  The light mist is obscuring the other end of the lake.

Along the North bank, the low Winter Sun is obscured by thinly leaved trees making the walk towards the sun quite bearable.

Once around the lake on the other bank (having stopped off at the South Landing cafe) the woodland is well lit and looking very Autumnal.

At the end of the Lakeside walk, the pathway comes out into the Italian gardens by the Lakeside Cafe.

The Italian garden is a joy at any time of the year, though the spectacular flower displays are over and the grasses and shrubs complement the Autumnal trees.

Oh Joy! we also have a working landline again.  Our Virgin-media phone line has been down for 11 days and has finally been restored to full function.  The help line is now fully computerized, so you get few options to choose when you inquire about an issue.  On two occasions, I received a questionnaire to inquire about my satisfaction about the resolution of the issue, before the engineers arrived to fix the problem.  The humans were excellent.

P.S. 2 days on and the phone is down again!
