Thoughts of brighter weather

A few days ago, Rosie rotated the airer and it collapsed in a heap.  The leg had corroded inside and the metal snapped.  After many years service the easiest option was to replace the whole thing.  Yesterday we did that.

The new base holder was larger than the old one, so I dug a hole in the lawn and concreted the new leg in place.

This morning, the concrete was dry and hard and the job was a good one.  I left the old base slot as this can accomodate a parosol if we bring the tables out onto the lawn in the summer.

Now, we can hang out the washing on a solid new airer.  Looking forward to warm and dry weather so that the new equipment can be used to full effect.
