There has been a weather alert about an unprecedented heatwave in the UK. Just after mid-day the outside temperature is 35 degrees and the heat in the conservatory is now 30 degrees.
The sitting room is still at 25 degrees after taking precautions to exclude the heat and that is comfortable. With the UK being poorly equipped for such temperatures, a trip to selected stores and supermarkets is a refreshing break where they have air conditioning. Fortunately, our car is well equipped with air-con.
The garden is dry, but it is not so bad and it should recover with the rainfall that is expected in a few days.
